More about this artwork
We are thrilled to present "Fragments de figure à l’ensemble des plans" (1928) by Otto Freundlich, a visionary piece that captures the essence of abstract art. In this remarkable painting, Freundlich deconstructs familiar forms into a compelling arrangement of colors and shapes that appear to float harmoniously yet dynamically across the canvas.Exploring the painting requires an open mind as traditional figures and objects dissolve into an interplay of geometric tessellations. Rich, earthy tones blend with cooler blues and pops of vibrant shades, creating a visual rhythm that pulsates throughout the piece. This composition not only reflects Freundlich's commitment to abstraction but also introduces viewers to his deep philosophical beliefs about the interconnectedness of all matters.Freundlich was ahead of his time, believing that art could visually express complex, universal truths. In "Fragments de figure à l’ensemble des plans," he experiments with the balance and tension between colors and forms, inviting the viewer into a meditative dialogue about the nature of existence and the connections that weave through the visible and invisible worlds.
