The intricate detail in the depiction of bricks, wood, and decaying plaster highlights Schaefels’s meticulous attention to texture, making the scene palpably real and visually compelling."Old Houses" invites viewers to ponder the lives once lived within these walls, offering a window to a bygone era. It serves as a poignant reminder of the relentless march of time and the silent endurance of structures that were once homes vibrant with daily life.
