This intriguing artwork titled "Dame" was created by Karl Wiener in 1942, an expressive depiction that combines elements of realism and symbolism. The painting portrays a distinguished female figure adorned with a black top hat, exuding a sense of regality and mystery. Her face is marked by serene yet penetrating eyes and subtle rosy cheeks, framed by long curly blonde hair that drapes elegantly onto her shoulders. The subject wears a dark, fur-lined cloak that adds an element of nobility and depth, contrasting with the simple background that focuses attention solely on her. Karl Wiener was an Austrian draftsman , graphic artist and photo montage artist. Because of his political and time-critical montages of the 1930s and 1940s, he was posthumously referred to as the Austrian John Heartfield on the occasion of the major retrospective on his estate in the Wien Museum.
