The upper frame of the image, adorned with wave-like patterns, suggests the dynamic nature of water, adding to the overall maritime theme of the artwork.Dijsselhof's work is characterized by its meticulous detail and naturalistic themes, often drawing inspiration from the Art Nouveau movement, which is known for its use of organic shapes and lines.
