More about this artwork

In this sketch, a figure stands beside a horse in an open, rural setting. The horse, adorned with a saddle and bridle, turns its head towards the man, who is dressed in traditional attire that includes a hat and knee-length breeches. The man appears to be offering the horse a treat or examining its face. In the background, there's a leafless tree and a simple depiction of a cloudy sky, suggesting a barren or serene landscape. The overall mood conveyed is one of quiet interaction between the man and the horse in a calm, natural environment.
