More about this artwork

The painting features a half-length portrait of a man set against a light blue background. He wears a dark coat with slit sleeves that reveal a red lining, embellished with rounded ornaments at the edges. Underneath, he dons a white shirt with a finely detailed, lace-trimmed collar that peeks from under the coat. He is adorned with a brown hat, slightly tilted, aligning parallel to his brow line. His face is marked by a serious expression, broad forehead, and his gaze looks directly out, engaged yet somewhat distant. His beard is thick and meticulously styled to curve outward, ending in a twirl, matched by his mustache which is also styled to stand out prominently. He holds his right hand over his left just above his waist, with fingers adorned in multiple rings, further signifying a sense of status or prominence. His hands are slightly tightened, suggesting a composed or reserved demeanor.
