More about this artwork

In the painting, a figure with a soft, ethereal quality floats above a quaint village nestled among autumn leaves. The figure, rendered in warm hues of orange and white, glows gently against a mosaic of earth-toned tiles that form the sky. It emits an almost tangible light that seems to grace the tops of the beige and gray buildings below. This village, depicted with a range of European-style architecture, complete with spires and tiled roofs, has a tranquil, timeless feel. Bordering and interspersed within the scene are detailed leaves in various states of fall decay, in shades of orange, brown, and gold, emphasizing the autumnal theme.

Aurika's artwork has been exhibited in Vilnius, Kaunas, Utena as well as Amsterdam and Chicago. Various paintings form a part of private collections all over the world.

Artist's attention is directed towards the fragile, mysterious and rather gothic world of angels. Pale, solemn and gentle, the angels carry an ambience of sacred ubiquity to the background as well as the observer standing out perfectly over the rest of the vivid composition.
