More about this artwork

The painting depicts five graceful figures, resembling angels, each clad in flowing robes adorned with delicate patterns reminiscent of lace. The angels, four women and one bird, appear ethereal, almost transparent, accentuating their otherworldly charm. Their skin is a smooth, pale hue, and their hair is styled in elegant, simple updos. They each have a pair of stylized, decorative wings; some wings are speckled while others bear intricate line patterns. The background and the ground are rich with autumnal tones; deep browns, muted golds, and warm oranges dominate, evoking a sense of a bountiful harvest or the changing season. Interspersed throughout are leaves of various shapes and sizes, further connecting the scene to a natural, earthy environment. These leaves are painted in shades that complement the background, with gentle curves and swirls that suggest a soft breeze. The overall atmosphere of the painting is one of serene harmony, as the figures interact quietly among themselves, some facing each other as if in gentle conversation, while others gaze outward, inviting the viewer into their peaceful communion.

Her education is based on knowledge and experience aquired in Vilnius Art Academy.

Aurika's artwork has been exhibited in Vilnius, Kaunas, Utena as well as Amsterdam and Chicago. Various paintings form a part of private collections all over the world.

Artist's attention is directed towards the fragile, mysterious and rather gothic world of angels. Pale, solemn and gentle, the angels carry an ambience of sacred ubiquity to the background as well as the observer standing out perfectly over the rest of the vivid composition.
