The eye can discern fragments that seem to hint at everyday objects and figures, yet the composition remains elusive, encouraging a deeper contemplation of the intersection between reality and artistic expression. The color scheme of deep browns, blues, and ochres, punctuated by lighter tones, creates a somber yet vibrant atmosphere. This choice of colors, along with the careful balance of light and shadow, underscores the painting's mysterious quality."Composition" is not just a visual experience but a mental puzzle that Marcoussis presents to the viewer, serving as a testament to the innovative spirit of Cubism, which seeks to reconstruct reality in a way that provides a new perspective on the familiar.
