More about this artwork
The painting presents a vivid and detailed depiction of various fruits arranged upon a light, neutral background. There are several plums, with one cut open to reveal its succulent interior; its deep purple and reddish hues contrast with the golden and blush tones of the whole plums beside it. Also featured are three spherical apricots, their skins glowing warmly with a mix of orange and sunny yellow, interspersed with hints of red. A pair of luscious red cherries hangs from a delicate stem with a single leaf attached, adding a touch of vivid green. Scattered among these fruits are a couple of small, translucent grape-like berries.
