More about this artwork
The painting is divided into two distinct sections against a pure white background. On the top half, the left side features a stylized, organic form with curvilinear shapes in orange and pale yellow, resembling abstracted floral or leaf patterns, set against a vibrant green grid-like backdrop. To the right, a tree-like form is depicted with angular branches filled with clusters of red and blue berries, contrasting sharply with a light blue wavy line background, suggesting movement or wind. The bottom half of the painting consists of six rectangular panels arranged in two rows of three. Each panel features a dark, almost black background with a single, elegantly curved branch bearing elliptical leaves and clusters of small, bright red berries.

Emile-Alain Séguy was a French 20th century artist. He produced eleven albums inspired by insects, butterflies and nature, with intricate Art Nouveau and brightly colored Art Deco geometric floral patterns. He used a unique printing technique called Pochoir, the method of applying pigment to paper through stencils.
