More about this artwork

The painting depicts six stylized figures, presumably at a social gathering. Each figure has a distinct, elongated face and is dressed in intricately patterned, flowing garments that drape gracefully. The figures are set against a backdrop of muted tones, with large spherical shapes that might represent the moon or decorative elements, giving a surreal or dreamlike quality to the scene.Three of the figures on the left are interacting closely, perhaps sharing a conversation, with one of them holding a persimmon. On the right, a figure in a vibrant red dress seems to be offering a persimmon to another, who is attentively listening or observing. The remaining figure stands slightly apart, observing the scene. All are surrounded by elements of lush vegetation, including leaves and persimmons, which are both on the tables in front of them and scattered elegantly at their feet, enhancing the theme of abundance and leisure.

Aurika's artwork has been exhibited in Vilnius, Kaunas, Utena as well as Amsterdam and Chicago. Various paintings form a part of private collections all over the world.

Artist's attention is directed towards the fragile, mysterious and rather gothic world of angels. Pale, solemn and gentle, the angels carry an ambience of sacred ubiquity to the background as well as the observer standing out perfectly over the rest of the vivid composition.
