More about this artwork
The painting "Seventh Day" by Aurika is a vibrant and complex tapestry of images and motifs delicately woven together to form a cohesive whole. At first glance, the artwork is a kaleidoscope of warm tones—yellows, oranges, and browns—punctuated with cooler hues like blues and greens, creating a harmonious balance. It features a central, circular motif that appears to symbolize unity or completeness, around which various elements orbit or radiate. The canvas is divided into multiple segments, some filled with grid-like patterns, others with swirling lines or floral designs, suggesting a rich tapestry or a stained-glass window. Within these sections, several figures—faceless or with serene, closed eyes—float peacefully, some holding lamps or lanterns, which might imply wisdom, guidance, or enlightenment. These figures are enveloped in a soft, glowing light, adding an ethereal quality to the scene.Interspersed among the figures are leaves, vines, flowers, and fruits, notably berries and perhaps apples, evoking a sense of abundance and fertility. These natural elements hint at an autumnal theme, suggesting the cycle of growth and decay, of harvesting and giving back to the earth.

Short description

Her education is based on knowledge and experience aquired in Vilnius Art Academy.
Aurika's artwork has been exhibited in Vilnius, Kaunas, Utena as well as Amsterdam and Chicago. Various paintings form a part of private collections all over the world.
Artist's attention is directed towards the fragile, mysterious and rather gothic world of angels. Pale, solemn and gentle, the angels carry an ambience of sacred ubiquity to the background as well as the observer standing out perfectly over the rest of the vivid composition.
