More about this artwork

The painting depicts a single, delicate flower with a rich, burgundy-red bloom that consists of layered petals, almost reminiscent of a ruffled skirt. The petals have subtle pink tips, giving a gentle gradient to the intense central color. Nestled within the petals you can see tiny details, like filaments or possibly stamens, adding depth and texture. This flower springs from a graceful, curving stem which is linked by a slender stalk to a smaller, partially opened bud of a similar coloration. Below these blooms, the foliage consists of finely segmented green leaves, radiating outwards with a feathery, almost fern-like appearance.
