More about this artwork

In the painting, there are two large peaches, lush and ripe, with blushes of red and pink hues over a smoother, pale surface, hinting at soft, succulent flesh underneath their skins. A smaller, wholly reddish peach, perhaps a plum, sits nearby; its size modest in comparison to the peaches. Accompanied by the fruit, there is a cluster of hazelnuts in varying stages of emergence from their green husks, showing both the complete nut and those partially encased. Adding a quaint touch of life, a fly delicately stands on the surface near the fruits, its presence contributing a dose of realism to an otherwise serene tableau.
