More about this artwork

In this visually captivating painting, two stylized figures, presumably male and female, are placed amidst a lush garden brimming with verdant foliage and vibrant apple trees laden with ripe, reddish-orange fruits. The female figure, located on the left, is adorned in a flowing, light grey dress with delicate patterns, holding an apple close to her heart with her gaze directed serenely towards the tree. On the opposite side, the male figure, also in a monochromatic grey attire, turns towards the fruitful tree, holding an apple in his hand, mirroring the female’s pose with a calm expression.Between them, a textured tablecloth with intricate, lace-like designs stretches across the composition, adorned with scattered apples invoking a sense of bounty and harmony. Surrounding the figures and the central table set-up, butterflies in various pastel hues flutter, adding a touch of whimsy and movement.

Aurika's artwork has been exhibited in Vilnius, Kaunas, Utena as well as Amsterdam and Chicago. Various paintings form a part of private collections all over the world.

Artist's attention is directed towards the fragile, mysterious and rather gothic world of angels. Pale, solemn and gentle, the angels carry an ambience of sacred ubiquity to the background as well as the observer standing out perfectly over the rest of the vivid composition.
