This work is a fine example of Enckell’s explorations into the dynamics of human anatomy and expression, rendered in vivid red tones. The painting depicts a male figure in a dynamic standing pose, with one arm extended, seeming to interact delicately with something beyond the frame. The figure's muscularity is emphasized through the careful yet bold strokes, demonstrating the tension and relaxation in the muscles.
