The scene captures a stark, serene winter evening, centered around a dark silhouette of a quaint cottage. Its sloping roof and visible chimney create a sharp contrast against the luminous golden-yellow backdrop, suggestive of either a setting sun or a brightly lit horizon. Only one window of the house is aglow, offering a warm, inviting speck amidst the darker tones. Surrounding the house, leafless trees, detailed with intricate, fine branches, stretch upwards, their forms distinct against the glowing sky.
