The painting captures the figure of a nude man, portrayed with a gaunt and emaciated body, sharply angular and defined by stark highlights and shadows that emphasize his ribcage and the contours of his muscles. His skin is depicted with a reddish-brown tone, contrasting against the lighter background. The man's pose is relaxed, and his facial expression is sullen, with downturned lips and slightly furrowed brows. His eyes gaze off to the side as if lost in thought, and his dark hair is tousled. The outline of the figure is highlighted with a rough, white border that gives an unfinished, almost ethereal quality to the forms.
