More about this artwork

The evocative painting "Gėlėtas rytas" by the Lithuanian artist Arūnas Rutkus captures a deeply intimate and serene moment. Rendered in a palette dominated by earthy tones and subtle contrasts, this artwork portrays the back view of a nude female figure. Her pose is both graceful and contemplative, as she gently lifts her long, flowing hair with both hands. The detailed pattern on the scarf entwined in her hair adds a touch of intricate elegance, enhancing the overall texture of the composition.Below her, the canvas is adorned with a beautifully detailed floral pattern reflecting the artwork's title, which translates to "Floral Morning." The shadows and light are masterfully balanced, creating a soft, almost dreamlike quality. The division of light across the backdrop brings an additional layer of depth and mystery to the scene, suggesting the early rays of morning light filtering into a quiet room."Gėlėtas rytas" is a testament to Rutkus's skill in using a monochromatic scheme to evoke emotion and narrative. This painting invites viewers to pause and reflect, offering a tranquil moment caught in time through the lens of contemporary art.
