More about this artwork

John Linnell’s delicate sketch titled "A Rowing Boat at Twickenham" captures the serene essence of a small rowboat gently resting on the water’s edge. With skillful pencil strokes and subtle shading, Linnell has depicted a scene that exudes a sense of quietude and simplicity. The boat’s intricate details, including its wooden slats and the gentle ripple of water at its base, transport the viewer to a tranquil afternoon by the riverside. This piece beautifully illustrates Linnell’s attention to detail and his ability to evoke mood and atmosphere through his art.
