More about this artwork

The painting displays an intricate and symmetrical design meant to embellish a herbarium book cover. Centered at the top is the word "HERBARIUM" set within a rectangular frame. The frame is bordered by a double line, and the inner space features a repeating pattern of stylized plants. These plants have slim, vertical stems, and each stem branches out into pairs of curving leaves. At intersections, some of the stems bear simple, circular flowers with rounded petals in shades of rust-red and cream, highlighted by a central dot. The background of the design is a pale, muted green, complementing the gold and red tones of the floral motifs and adding to the overall delicate and refined aesthetic of the artwork.
