More about this artwork

In the artwork, there are two depictions of a woman, each shown from a different angle. On the left, the woman is viewed from behind, turning slightly to her side. She wears a flowing, classical-style drapery that elegantly clings to and cascades down her body, with a rich frieze of fabric that loosely wraps around her raised left arm, enhancing the movement suggested by her stance. Her hair is styled in an updo that reveals the contour of her neck and adds to the gracefulness of her pose.On the right, the other depiction presents the woman in a frontal view, her gaze serene and slightly downward. The same fluid drapery envelops her, with the gown's folds falling naturally to the ground, showing a careful understanding of fabric and form. Her right hand pulls the fabric slightly to her body, as her left hand is poised near her face in a delicate and reflective gesture. The same updo is evident, framing her face gently.
