More about this artwork

In this painting, two young women dressed as ballet dancers, each adorned with ethereal, feathered wings, are depicted in a moment of quiet introspection. One, in a lilac tutu, sits looking pensively to the side, her wings sprawling delicately over a wooden bench, evoking a sense of vulnerability and grace. She seems lost in thought, her dark hair loosely tied, framing her contemplatively distant gaze. Beside her stands another dancer in a dark tutu, her back partly to the viewer. She looks down, adjusting or perhaps contemplating her own black wings which contrast starkly with her companion’s lighter ones. The environment around them appears to be a backstage area with blurred outlines of furniture and soft, diffused lighting that spills across the scene, highlighting the texture of their tutus and the feathered wings.

I am Serghei Ghetiu. Like all of you, dear viewers, I am an art lover. I paint since my childhood, but few years ago I started to devote to painting almost all of my time and now I can not stop. Art for me is embodiment of many notions, meditation, fulfillment of thoughts and ideas. I admire classical paintings, but also approve all directions of art. It will be pleasure for me if my works delight your eyes and mind.
