Alexandre Calame (28 May 1810 – 19 March 1864) was a distinguished Swiss landscape artist, widely recognized for his evocative renderings of alpine vistas. His work is strongly linked to the Düsseldorf School, a notable movement of painters famous for their naturalistic techniques and careful portrayal of atmospheric effects.
