Resurrection

Alina Kvedarauskienė, a distinguished Lithuanian artist, has been passionate about drawing and painting for as long as she can remember. Her fascination with the human face began in childhood, sparking a deep interest in portrait art that she continued to refine over time. She embarked on her formal art education at the Kaunas Art School, graduating in 1962, before advancing her studies at the Vilnius Art Institute (now Vilnius Academy of Arts), where she specialized in graphics and book illustration, completing her degree in 1968.

Alina’s illustrations have been featured in a variety of Lithuanian publications, including the magazine "Nemunas." Her contributions to the cultural landscape extend to creating theatrical posters and illustrating educational books. In addition to her own creative endeavors, she has played a significant role in fostering young talent as an art school teacher. Alina’s inclination to explore new techniques has led her to experiment with different painting methods, though she ultimately favors pastel for its alignment with her expressive approach.

The artworks of Alina Kvedarauskienė are renowned for their spiritual depth, introspection, and a sense of enigma, encapsulating genuine Christian spirituality and profound inner experiences. Her subtle and iconographic treatment is uncommon in modern art, making her creations particularly impactful. Alina's art has been showcased in international exhibitions across Poland, Switzerland, Australia, Colombia, and the United States. In Lithuania, she has participated in group shows and presented solo exhibitions under titles such as "I Believe" and "I'm Looking for Your Face." She has also generously donated pieces to the Kaunas Seminary of Priests. Her expertise in pastel painting ensures that her works are reproduced with fidelity, allowing their profound spiritual messages to reach a broad audience.
