Peter Hansen (1868-1928) was a Danish painter renowned for his expressive portrayals of coastal landscapes, portraits, and art nudes. Born in Faaborg, Denmark, Hansen was raised amidst the natural splendor of his surroundings, which served as a constant source of inspiration throughout his artistic life. He emerged as a prominent member of the Funen Painters, a group distinguished by their renditions of the unique mood and scenery found on the Danish island of Funen.
